The Tor, Glastonbury, UK

Standing in The Tor gazing out over the countryside in Glastonbury reminded me of all the portals, doorways and passages that I have walked through. Each time, feeling a huge sense of movement, shifting and rooting down taking place. We travel to these far away places it seems to find our way HOME again.

Each time I hike in my own neighborhood, right here in the Santa Cruz mountains I experience these portals of mystery. I take a minute to acknowledge the Sacred in the everyday occurance of a simple walk. Finding the Sacred in the Mundane is what takes into the Present moment. Right? Chop wood, carry water? All with the notion of remaining present, being right where we are, and feeling into the joy of a simple activity.

On a high hill, after a lovely little hike up, I walked through this tower and considered all of the souls who had made this pilgrimage and it brought me home again. To the Chalice Well, to the Sacred Waters and to the ancient Glastonbury Abby, I felt like I was walking in King Arthur’s footsteps. Feelings of Honor, dignity, reverence and simplicity radiated around me.

In 2009 I spent several months living in Sucre, Bolivia and took time to explore Copacabana on Lake Titicaca and visiting these sacred sites on the way back to La Paz. Journeying to the Isle del Sol and Isla de La Luna showed me how, no matter where we go in the world, every culture has found a way to honor the Sacred. We must keep our connection within to the Sacred, it is what holds us when we feel unsteady.

If you are seeking a path towards more steadiness, joy and inner understanding, I encourage you to look into this training…and then you can share this with others. Registration is ready now.

A Practice for Steadiness

Here is one of the most simple and deeply profound Breathing Practices you can ever do. When you sit, bring heartfelt awareness into your breath, you will literally experience a harmonious convergence happening. Give it time, honor your Self, let the simplicity of sitting carry you deeper within. Then consider, what would your life feel like with a sustained connection to a part of you that is there waiting for you to connect? Maybe, you are called to this new path into Empathic Teaching because you want to learn how to teach yoga or maybe you realize it is what you need regardless.

Nadi Shodhana, A Breathing Practice for Harmony

I hope you will consider joining me in the NEW 200 Hour Yoga Training to discover a profound path to Empathic Teaching (and learning) with a compassionate focus on sequencing and yogic practices.
